Television Info: After a week of the Vikings in prime time, we’re back to that most sacred and wonderful time for the kickoff of NFL football games, that being noon Central time on Sunday. This one will be handled by the folks from FOX, which is KMSP-9 in the Twin Cities area. If you’re not in the Twin Cities area and are wondering if your market is receiving Vikings/Panthers as its primary game on FOX, here is this week’s coverage map from the good folks at 506 Sports. The Vikings/Panthers contest is the primary game in the orange-colored area.

The play-by-play call for this one will be handled by the team of Chris Myers and Ronde Barber.

If you will be watching this one via the NFL Sunday Ticket package on DirecTV, you’ll have to point your receiver to Channel 710.

We will have the relevant channels for our Canadian viewers as soon as the folks from Sports on Canadian TV update their listings.

For our friends in the United Kingdom, it does not appear that the game is going to be shown on any of the regular television channels. The only option appears to be NFL Game Pass. Kickoff is slated for 6:00 PM UK time. (Thanks to NFL UK.)

For our men and women overseas in the Armed Forces, this one is going to be shown live on the American Forces Network. It will be shown on AFN Sports 2, and the start time is 1800Z. That means a 1900L kickoff for everyone in Central Europe, 2130L for folks in Afghanistan, and a bright and early 0200L on Monday morning for fans in Japan and Korea.

Radio Info

For everyone that’s going to be listening on the radio, you can find an affiliate in your area that’s a part of the Vikings Radio Network. If you do not have an affiliate near you, another alternative would be to check out the TuneIn online radio service.

If you’re going the satellite radio route, you can find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on Sirius Channel 136. (XM will not be carrying the Vikings feed for this one.) The feed from the Panthers’ radio crew can be found on Sirius Channel 83 or XM Channel 226. If you’re using the SiriusXM Online App, the Vikings’ permanent home there is Channel 818.

Referee Info

According to the good folks over at Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this week will be led by Jerome Boger. Boger is in his eleventh season as a head referee, and the last time he worked a Vikings’ game was last season’s 16-10 Minnesota victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at TCF Bank Stadium.

Weather Info

The team over at Weather Underground is calling for a warm, sunny afternoon for Sunday’s contest. Temperature at kickoff time should be in the low-to-mid 80s with some light winds coming out of the northeast and no chance of rain.

Streaming Info

A good place to start as a reference point for this sort of thing is the post that CCNorseman did last year about legal streaming sources. For everyone overseas (such as yours truly), there is NFL Game Pass, which is pretty awesome.

As far as other streams are concerned, do NOT. . .and I mean not in any way, shape, or form. . .promote illegal streaming sites on The Daily Norseman. Not in the comments, not in the FanPosts, not in the FanShots, not in the Game Thread, not anywhere. Don’t even hint at them. Trust me on this. If you’re that determined to watch the game via an illegal stream, do a Google search and find it on your own. And feel free to not blame us for any ill effects your computer or device might suffer as a result.

That should be all of the information you need in order to enjoy this evening’s contest between the Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. We’ll have the Game Thread up and ready to go approximately an hour before kickoff, and we hope to see a lot of you folks there for it.
