October 27, 2014 – The Cowboys came into the Monday Night Football showdown with the Redskins on a six-game winning streak. Both teams had a shaky first half, with both teams combining for 3 turnovers in the half. Despite 2 fumbles, the Cowboys took a 7-3 lead into halftime. After halftime, the Redskins drove down the field and scored on a 5-yd run by Alfred Morris to make it 10-7. When Tony Romo left the game in the third quarter with a back injury, Brandon Weeden came in to lead the Cowboys to a field goal by Dan Bailey. The Redskins then scored on a Colt McCoy touchdown run with 13:38 left in the 4th to retake the lead 17-10. Dallas would score on the next possession in the game as Weeden threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Jason Witten to make the score 17-17 with 9:27 left in the game. Romo would then make his return to the game in the last possession in the 4th but both teams failed to score again in regulation. The Redskins would score first in overtime with a Kai Forbath 41-yd field goal to make it 20-17. The Cowboys would be stopped on four down in their overtime drive to secure a Redskins victory.

December 28, 2014 – The Cowboys, now the NFC East champions, ran over the Redskins in the last game of the season 44-17. The Redskins only lead of the game came after a DeSean Jackson 69-yard touchdown catch from Robert Griffin III to make it 7-3. Tony Romo would then throw 2 touchdown passes to Dez Bryant to make it 17-7. The Redskins would cut a 27-7 lead down to 27-17 but the Cowboys would score 17 straight points in the last 3:31 to conclude a 12-4 season and split the season series with the Redskins.

December 7, 2015 – In their 17th meeting all-time on Monday Night Football, the Redskins and Cowboys both entered with losing records, but were still very much alive in the weak NFC East. Both teams traded field goals throughout the majority of the game with it being tied 9-9 with 1:30 left. On a punt return, Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson fumbled the ball, which was recovered by Dallas. This led to the Cowboys only touchdown when Darren McFadden ran it in from six yards to make it 16-9 with 1:14 left. The Redskins quickly recovered as Jackson would catch a 28-yard TD pass from QB Kirk Cousins with 44 seconds left to tie it at 16-16. Dallas would drive down the field however, and Dan Bailey would hit a 54-yard FG to win the game 19-16 for Dallas.
